SCV valve function:
Function: Used to control the inlet diesel fuel which flows the diesel fuel pump. The SCV valve is an inverse proportional electromagnetic proportional valve controlled by the ECU. The ECU receives signals such as engine speed, water temperature, common rail pressure, and suction pressure, derives command current to the SCV valve, controls the opening of the SCV valve, and to achieve control diesel fuel into the diesel fuel pump. The purpose of the diesel fuel flow is to adjust the common rail pressure. Abnormal conditions will cause the engine output to drop down, or even stop.
